abnormal tire wear

what causes a tire to wear like the following picture?

my car has almost 80k on it. i got the last alignment done at 70k. at the time the tires looked okay, but all of a sudden i noticed this on both of the inner parts of the front tires. i also did get my axles recently replaced by Paul, but i do not think he installed anything wrong as he is the honda guru

so i was just wondering guys what caused this?

thanks

Hard to see with the glare, but got to put it back up on the alignment rack to see if all is tight. If the tread is smooth, camber, if feathered, toe.
Also when axles are changed there should be no change in alignment as camber is non adjustable and toe would only change if the tie rod were adjusted.

Were they rotated when the axles were installed or have always been on the front?
If rotated, then alignment problems at the rear.

LCA lower control arm bushings, but if they were bad that would show up on the alignment.
Get it back on the rack to see what is out of spec and if the same rack is to be used, see what specs it shows. Have seen alignment equipment show that the angles are in spec, but the alignment calibration is out.

I would check the alignment again. Is the car lowered? Camber kits? Free alignments are awesome.
