5x112 wheels on 5x114 3G TL-S - Need opinions

Hey all,

I found a set of wheels that I am absolutely set on, and the options for this wheel unfortunately do not come in 5x114, they are 5x112 18x9.5 +40.

Here is the link for the wheels http://www.urotuning.com/3SDM-0-06-W...6.112.18.s.htm

I think these directional wheels would look awesome, and are a cheaper option compared to the Rotiform TMBs that I have always wanted at $1300 per wheel, whereas I can have these for around $1300 for a set.

Any ideas on the best way to run a 5x112 wheel on the 3G TL-S? Ive heard wobble bolts, and also adapters, but would having a wheel shop machine these out a little bit be the safest option?

Thanks in advance.

I know a few people running adapters with no problems whatsoever. Machining them out might be a better option but I'm not sure what it would do to the structural integrity of the wheel.

With 5x112 and 5x114.3, go with wobble nuts. 112 and 114.3 are very close in difference where you could run it safely from what I've read.

The wobble nuts give you 2.4mm of play so you're good.

Anything greater than a difference of 4mm, you will need to run adapters to be safe.

With wobble nuts, do I still use my lug nuts? Im confused as to how exactly these work... And for redrilling only 2MM, I wouldnt imagine that would change the structural integrity of the wheel for something so minor.

just a thought here, ever think about calling the rim factory and seeing if they could do you a set in 114.3? maybe they will say yes like the wheels tho!

I may just go with the adapters, because the wheels are a little higher offset then I would like, and with the adapters you get about 20MM out of them.

No, you do not use your regular lug nuts with the the wobble nuts.

You see how there's sort of a washer like end where it gives the end some variation (2.4mm). That's how these work.

I work for a tire shop and I just would not recommend it bro. Your wheels should sit flush with no play. Eventually it can make the holes for the wheels become wallowed and your wheel can come off. I've seen it happen.
