Lightbulb 255/35/19 tires on 19 x 8.5 +35 Vertini Wheels

While I know different variations of this question have been asked numerous times, I'd like to know if these will work i.e. no rubbing, etc... For the following two set-ups.

255/35/19 on 19x8.5 et 35 Vertini Wheel.

3G TL Stock Height (current set-up)

A-Spec Suspension (future set-up)
Probably switch to 245/35/19's by the time I do A-Spec, but good to know both set-ups either way.

Not looking to roll fenders, etc...

Thanks for the input ahead of time A'zine....

A 255 is too much tire for an 8.5" wheel. Go with the 235's. They should fit fine without any rubbing issues.

I would go 235 or 245, as ebelp stated 255 is to much tire.

Is there a particular reason you dont want to roll the quarters? On aspec with 245 and people in the back seat you might scrape.

To put it in perspective, a 255 tire is 10" wide, and you'd be putting that on an 8.5" wide wheel. Too much meat.

235/35-19's are the way to go for speedometer accuracy.

On the 04, I run 255/40/18 on 8.5 aspec wheel. What wheel specifically are you looking at?

I am looking to run this on a 19x8.5 +35 Vertini Wheel (Hennessey)

While I follow you on the 255mm = ~10", 235mm = ~9.25" no too much difference right (asking)? Also, the "rim width" of these tire size is 8.5" according to this link. Lastly, the rims currently have 235's on them but look like this from the front /-\ I am not a fan of the "stretched" look, I prefer the |-| look on wheel/tires. Perhaps this is simply unavoidable as we increase rim sizes.

Not opposed to rolling, if I have to though. Prefer to get the most flush (what I consider) looking tire/wheel combo |-| and not the stretched look /-\

Also, I am currently running 245/45/17's on the stock wheels.

Really just need to know if this will work and not rub. Has anyone tried this by chance?

I had a 265 on the back of my TL but that was on a 9.5" wide wheel. But the tire does fit under there. I was rolled.
