245/50 R17 on 2004 TL

I recently got a set of factory wheels and tires from an '05 with an Apec ugrade. They were so cheap I couldn't pass them up. My plan is to mount snows on my current curb-rashed originals for next winter. My issue is that these new rub somewhere in the rear when cornering or going over the little bump at the end of my driveway. Is there wheelwell dimensional difference from the '04 to the '05? Thank you in advance for your help as I'm no tire or suspension expert.

I don't own a 3G (I own a 2G), but it looks like your problem may possibly be coming from your tire setup -->245/50/17. I just glanced over at the Tires, Wheels & Suspension 04 TL Fittment Guide and it appears that your current tire width and sidewall height are off spec. The tire you have mounted is wider (245 vs. 235) and, for lack of a better term, taller (50 vs 45) due to the stock setup of 235/45/17. Can anyone confirm that this would be the most likely cause?

Here is the total height of the original 235/45R17 tires: 25.3 in

Your new setup with 245/50R17: 26.6 in

So your speedometer is showing 5.2% of difference with the reality.

Hope this may help you.

Here is a tire/wheel calculator that might help you out.

Thanks a lot for the information. The calculator is great. Anyone want to buy some tires?
