235-40-18 To 245 40-18, Any Problems??
I have a 2007 TL Type S. I added the 18 inch A-Spec wheels and Yokohama ES100 Tires. After driving the car for a couple of week the Yokohama tires were just to rough. They also flat spotted. I decided to change the tires to Michelin Pilot Sport AS. I had a couple of the 235-40-18's installed on the A-Spec wheels. The edge of the wheels was much more exposed with these tires. I made the decision to have the Pilot Sport AS 245-40-18 tires installed. My question is will there be any negative effect on the car by going up one size.
I will have to say the 245-40-18 cover the edge of the rim much better.
Please give me your feedback.

I use 245/40/18 on a wheels that's 8.5 in width. The tire covers the rim edge nicely. Never had a problem with 245/40/18 size. I had the Yok ES100 on my car a long time ago , they're stiff!!!
