which 225/55/16 for stock rims in NE
Hi guys,
I got a flat yesterday. Looks like I have to change the tire.
I was thinking of Sumitomo HTR+ but they don't come in 225/55/16. I was wondering if anybody could help me choose the decent All Season 225/55/16 tires for my stock 03' TL-P rims?
I live in NJ so I need something with good handling in snow also.
Thanks

I researched this for HOURS actually...
The Sumi's are close, but are still a little off, you will have a change in your speedo.
By the end i was debating between Kumho 712's or Bridgestone RE950's... I went with the 950's in the end. very happy. their also the closest tires to the stock MXV4's.

Yes, it will not be exactly the same as stock, but it will actually slow down your speedo with that size, i.e. 225/55/16.

Aren't Bridgestone RE950 rated H. And I guess thats allright for you since you don't have to worry abt living in the snow.

RE-950s are considered "performance" tires rather than "touring". Consequently, they are somewhat noisier and harsher riding than stock. They are however, significantly better at handling, both wet and dry, which is why I purchased them.

Are they the same size? If not, I don't recommended. As for the 225/55 size, you can give the Yoko AVS dB S2 a try.
