215/35/19 would it work?

Quick question. What would be the effects of running a 215/35/19 on a 19x7.5 rim with a offset of 48mm? Would it work? Would it look odd for some reason? I'm getting a real good deal on some rims and the guy is going to throw in some 215/35/19 tires.
It would really help if I dont have to go buy additional tires right now because there are other things I'd like to do with my money. I know hat size tire is ideal. I see that everyone usually runs a 235/35/19 or 245/45/19.
So I'm not really asking which tire I should get I just want to know if that size tire would work with that rim?

Anybody else?
What I'm really wondering is how would ther ride quality be, how would they look compared to putting on a different size tire? Would there be a huge gap?

Somebody please help me out. I really want to pull the trigger on these.

The tires and rims will work fine. The only problem you will have is with your speedo. You are going to be running about 2.2% faster than your normal speedo. Or means your speedo will say 60MPH and your going about 58.7 MPH.

Laymans terms your going to put more miles on the car than should be there.

Hope that helps.

How so? Hes running a 35 series side wall on a 19in tire. That is the correct tire for the plus sized wheel.

OEM 5 spoke 17''
45 series side wall

ASPEC 18''
40 series

Aftermarket 19''
35 series

Aftermarket 20''
30 series.

Your speedo and milage will be fine man.

I think I had 235/35's on my 20's when they were on my car. Not sure about the offset because a buddy of mine order them for me. Maybe 35 to 38 offset?

So hes gonna stretch them a little bit...they are only getting mounted on a 7.5'' wide rim.

a 225/35 or 235/35 19 would be a better match to the over all tire size to the stockers to keep the speedo accurate

Those tires will work but the car will look horrible............

1) The wheels will look like wagon wheels because there is no width to the tire. A wimpy look in my opinion.

2) The tires are so low that you are likely to screw up the wheels.

3) The best compromise for looks and driveability is a 245/35-19 tire.

Please do a little research before you flame man.

Here is a site that will back up what I was trying to say. Make sure that you install Java if you dont have it on ur PC. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Put in the stock specs then do ur math.

1. Never flamed any one.
2. According to that tire calc there is not a single tire/wheel size that would be a 1:1 match to a OE spec wheels and tire.

I guess we (people with aftermarket wheels/tires) are all screwed and are clocking on tons of extra miles....
