20s to big?
i was just wondering if 20s were too big for tls? ive seen pictures of tls with 19s but it looks like there is still room for 20s even with a drop. The lsportline 19s looks like 20s to me, compared to all the 19s in the gallery. what do you think?

what's the fascination with 20's?? save yourself ALOT of heartache and trouble by just getting 19's that *appear* larger like I did.
do what makes you happy, but even if 20's DIDN'T rub, I'm still happy with the way my 19's fill up the well....it doesn't look TOO freakin' big, just right to me.

"appear larger" as in the design. Some wheels just *look* smaller than others. Plus, my wheels is 20" in diameter from chrome edge to chrome edge...however it is still a 19" wheel. There's ALOT of wheels out there like that.
Plus...keep in mind mine fill up the well because it's dropped pretty low. The lower you drop a car the more it will appear to fill up the wells.
Just shop around man....but I personally would not recommend 20's on our cars.

Ken, lemme ask u. Since u have 19's do u think that 19x8.5 is too much for the TL... I ordered them already ... i still can say i dont want em but imma have to wait another week to get a new set of rims... i need yah opinion thanks.... they are so few rims to choose for in 19 inch size

STOP DELIVERY.
It will rub. Post a new thread and ask...it WILL rub with 8.5" width. I guess if you didn't lower it AT ALL it wouldn't rub....but it looks like ish like that.
I'd buy 19's in a heartbeat, but seeing as how 19's are virtually the limit for the TL's acceptable diameter, you wanna make sure your width is good as well as your offset.
I understand, i had trouble finding a good 19 that i liked, and would fit. Eventually found one semi-close to fitting and decided to go ahead with the custom work to make it so. It's tough finding 19's.
I believe 50+ offset is necessary for 8" wide, and about 45+ for 7.5" wide. 8.5" would most definitely rub bad unless you had a killer offset...but the only way you'll find that is if you go with HRE's or have a company build them for you.
Ask around...there's alot of guys who can explain and help you alot bettter than i can.
