^you need to get the 15mm with the studs pressed in already. Sounds to me that you either bought the wrong part or they sent you the wrong ones... Changing them out I've hear is a bitch...

^Bro, its alot of work to replace the studs! I would just rock the 20mm that you installed in the rears for now and return the 15mm that you got with no studs and exchange those with ones that come with the pressed studs.

That would be the easiest route to go..

Do you have a web link of the spacers that you got? I would like to see it, or just PM rockstar, he knows more about those akata spacer better than I.

I can't imagine that it would cause any issues. Nothing worse than utilizing spacers in the first place.

So finally put on and finished my front hubcentric wheel spacers 17 mm. Had bit of a problem with my impact sockets being thick walled. Luckily found thinner 17 mm socket with an adaptor to go on my new 1/2" torque wrench. Didn't have time to take a closer look or many pictures being it was almost 20:30 once i was done. To many things to do today had to start it early evening.

It matches up well with the 20 mm rear spacers not all out there but better then looking like a bus tire?

So this is the top view of my front with 17 mm hub-centric wheel spacer.

This thread is awesome, just thought I'd give it a bump.

Got my spacers from Akata off eBay a month or so ago, and since it will be nearly 70 this week, I figured it was time to swap back to the stock tires from my snow set. So what a perfect time to try on my 20 & 15's. Very nice pieces, if you can change a tire, you can put these on. I forgot about possibly needing a special socket, but the 19mm I had worked perfectly, never thought of it as a thin wall socket either. They do look good, but the change of wheels and the spacers is overwhelming in the first place. I will try to get a few pics later.

A few questions.
1) I remember reading a lot of people running spacers breaking their factory Acura locks on the studs, so I left them off. Any truth to this?

2)I assume I need to take off my wheels in a 100 miles or so and re-torque the lugs on the spacers? I do check my wheels, so this seems natural.

3)I am due for an oil change and since they are free at the dealer, I am going to go for it. Do you think they will say anything about them? They won't be rotating the tires (obviously b/c I just put them on rotated from when they came off).

I think I may try to find some black lug nuts just to get rid of the only chrome on my car. Seems fitting. I will also eventually be painting my calipers black. Any recommendations on where or the style to get?

Sup dude, dont think the oil change place will say anything about them. I have been pondering getting spacers but I think Im going to get wider wheels instead. I got some black lug nuts on my car from ebay, you would have to ask Steve what dealer he got them from, I dont remember. Make sure to get the ball seat kind I believe. Post pics when you can.

IMO the best combination is 25mm in the back and 20mm in the front.

I have ichiba V2's with these specs on my 04 AT TL with 18x8 Ebony aspecs and its PERFECTLY flush. Though if you're dropped it could lead to rubbing.

That it will. I am dropped on S-Tech's and I had some issues with the rear tires and the fenders using 25mm spacers and base wheels. I moved down to 20mm and now rarely have any contact with rubber and metal. As a matter of fact, expect to see a set of used 25mm spacers in the Black Market soon (after I find the nuts that go with them!)

are you saying you don't know what spacers do? that is the reason for the side shots showing on vs the other?!?! I'm not sure I follow what you're saying...

Question for people with 15-25mm spacers: which ones do the oem stock studs stick out past the spacers? My guess is the 15s yes the 25s no and the 20s would be flush with the stock studs or stick out only slightly.

Measuring the length the stud sticks out past the rotor hub would answer the same question but wondering if anyone knows off hand before I do.

I'm wondering because I'm looking to get aftermarket wheels that don't have holes or recessed areas inbetween the lug holes which means when using spacers the stock studs would have to sit flush with the spacer mounting face or be grinded down to sit flush.

no it won't be a problem, but that's not the set up i would choose. you want an extra 5mm in the rear.

i would have done 25mm rear and 20mm front for a flush look.

run a little bit of neg camber in the rear and you'll be fine. roll fenders too if needed.

i run 25mm in the rear on stock wheels during the winter months and i've never rubbed.

If you're slammed, AND rolled...you can get away with a 20 and a 10...no problem. Looks perfect IMO...
here are 235 tires on my 8.5" rims...
tein SS too.

I'm 24" from fender to ground all around. Almost all the way down.

Can you put a pic of how they rolled your fenders?

I'm looking at having this done as I'm not sure if I'm going to rub, I'm dropped about 1.5" on Tein SS w/ 235/40/18 tires on +40mm offset wheels, but I've got a set of hub-centric 10mm and 15mm spacers coming in.

I'll be changing my wheel studs, I have them already extended blackworks racing studs with extended wheel lugs, just bought new spindle nuts for when I take the hubs off to press out the studs.

Just want to be sure I'd clear, I saw a guy today about rolling the fenders and he said he could cut them :/ but I'd like to see how they rolled them for you and maybe I could get him to do the same.

They're already rolled most of the way in front, do they need to be done more or just remove the tab at the very front? Or is the rear half that isn't factory rolled the concern?

Sorry for the delay on my pics. I wanted to get it washed and some nice weather. Again, I went with the 20mm in the rear and the 15 mm in the front. I know it would look better with a set of springs, but I'm happy with her as she sits. I can't believe how much better it looks by just adding these. I don't think I can ever own a car without these again!

AFTER:

And I'm lowered on HT-Spect Type II's. Probably one of the best mods I've done so far!

Yep. I rubbed using 25mm on my rears with the stockies. I don't think I am as low as he is, but rolling the fenders is a prerequisite if you want to be this aggressive.

indeed, sir...it is. Actually, IMO, if you ever even utter the word stance or flush, you should be required to begin by getting your fenders rolled.

yeah my fenders are rolled. I still rub in the back around hard corners or when people are siting in the back and i rub in the front if my wheel is turned at the wrong angle on an incline. For some reason my left side rubs more than my right though.
