looks real good! I am looking to purchase a set and can't decide if I should go 5mm and 10mm or 10mm and 15mm. I have the M/T aspec suspension and 245/40/18.

meh... Not that I don't like it. But for the price of spacers, I can apply that money to something else that I want more, like my headlights by JnC. There just doesn't seem to be enough of a difference for me to go apeshit over.

Your car looks great tho. Lovin' the whole package.

Saw your wheel thread, those wheels are sweet!! 15mm on a 38mm offset with 8.5" wide will more than likely need a fender roll.

I hear ya. But in person its a big difference and I dont regret these at all. Now Im just looking for 19's for summer and slapping some winter tires on the A-SPEC wheels for winter time.

I want to do 10mm in the front and 15mm in the rear, but I am not having any luck finding the bolt-on style in 10mm. Most bolt on style start at 15mm. I do not want to mess with removing the studs. Does anyone know of a company that makes a 10mm bolt-on style ?

Ok I'll take it that the 15mm will not fit the 8.5 A-specs in the front with the 245/40/18 tires...?

Even tho I wanted do the same like the OP going with 15mm in the front and 20mm in the back Im scared it wont fit...

What I think I will end up doing is ordering the 15mm for the front and the back and just cross my fingers and hope that it works...if it rubs, then I'll just return the set that doesnt fit, be it the front or the back set.

I don't want to hijack this thread... 08A- Love the look, btw. Looks sick and very clean.

Will 20mm rear and 15mm front spacers work this well/look this good and flush on my 05 stock wheels? Or will I need maybe 25mm and 20mm because I have an 8" wheel instead of 8.5"?

^^^ditto... the regular 17" oem wheel will be the same as the above pics being that it's 8 wide and same offset. I could be wrong, but regardless if it's 8 or 8.5 wide, if the offset is the same, the stance is the same other than the wheel being .5 wider on the inside. So I believe outside stance is the same for both a-specs.

Gotcha gotcha. Sounds good to me- I saw A-spec and assumed 8.5, but I was mistaken. This is definitely something I'd like to try. I want to keep mostly stock so I'm going to add spacers first then eventually a drop to get rid of wheel gap.

I REALLY don't want to decrease my ride quality (these damn cars vibrate/rattle enough already), is the best way to keep a smooth ride to buy quality hubcentric spacers?

yes. Hubcentric is the way to go... I found out today that the 10mm Kics spacers I referenced above are not hubcentric. I still might give them a try just to see, but if not, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Kics are nice quality spacers, so I may try it anyway. I don't think 15mm in the front will work, but I'll wait to hear how it goes for dred87.

DOes anyone have any thoughts regarding the bolt-on 10mm kics that are not hubcentric? i would think since they are designed for 5x114.3 that they would probably be okay if the lugnuts are torqued properly, but I really don't know.

Thanks for the comment guys! Yes these are 8" wide A-Specs so same as regular TL wheels. So 20mm rear and 15mm front will work best. I only recommend hubcentric spacers. Anything else you are asking for trouble.

Are the ichiba version 2 spacers hubcentric? On the website it specifically says that version 1 is "hubcentric" but doesn't state the same for version 2.

Ok guys, so I got the Spacers and it didnt go so well. I ended up having to get my rear fenders rolled. I didnt want too, but the spacers made the rims look so good that I just HAD TOO. Believe me its a really good look for the rims, but I wouldnt sugest anyone with 245 tires get them until I show you pictures of how it Look...

Mind you they look great! The only thing is if you want the look theres some baggege too it.

Looks like you have 8.5" Aspecs, and adding 245 wide tires to the equation will get really close to the fender. You are 12mm closer to the fender than my setup w/o any spacer. So putting in the 15mm spacer would be like me putting in a 27mm spacer on my setup. I can see now why you rub.

yea man, I'm not educated on the math or calculations it takes to figure out what amount of spacer would have fit....

I do know that as soon as I put the spacers, the rear rubbed as soon as I got out the driveway! So I had to roll the fender asap. And yes I have the 8.5 A-Specs, with 245 tires, but the set-up looks SICK! Lol I will take pics for those who want to get an idea of what it might look like...

PS-thanks to 08A-SPEC for the inspiration to do this.

Anytime dred87, cant wait to see your pics! Pics dont do as much justice as seeing the stance in person. I love the wide stance the TL can have with spacers.

You are absolutely right about this, pictures do it no justice. But it does give the car that Cool look that only aftermarket rims usually give a car. As cool as Aspecs are, they never really gave the car that ultimate cool look when they were suckin in compared to now with the spacer.

Here are my BEFORE PICTURES so you can compare with the AFTER pics.

where are the after pics?!?! which spacers did you use? (edit: you were posting them...haha)

do you think the 10mm front and 15mm rear combo would have been ok with 245's on the 8" versions?

Well my setup consists of 245 tires on my 8.5 A-specs and 15mm spacers both front and back. FYI I'm also dropped on the M/T A-Spec suspension.

My front looks very aggressive in person, and had no issues with rubbing. Being that you have the 8'' rims, I'm positive you'll be okay in the front.

Now in regards to the rear...as soon as I put the spacer on and drove around the corner, I immediately heard rubbing. So i went and got my fenders rolled. Believe me when you see it in person... it looks that good! Fender rolling was out of the question for me, until I saw how sexxiie the spacers made the car look. Cant go back to that look without them.

But in you're case I think you should be fine in the rear, don't quote me on that since I never really learned the dimensions, and amount of space we have to play with...

Someone who might know is 08A-SPEC, very good when it comes to these calculations.

I will be installing 15mm in the rear and will let you know. From what i calculate, 15mm (rear) should work no problem with 8"wide a-specs and a-spec suspension. As far as 10mm in the front, i don't think this is possible without removing the studs, which is a major project. Kics is the only company that makes the bolt-on 10mm style, but they are not hubcentric.

looks good dred

Hey are the spacers easy to install? You just take off the rims and put the spacers on?
Correct me if im wrong... any pics on install?
Also, what's the best spacers out there... im thinking 20mm in the back and 15mm in the fronts.

front 18x8 +45 w/ a 15mm becomes a 18x8 +30 w/ a 235/40-18 you will be good for 1.7"
rear 18x8 +45 w/ a 20mm becomes 18x8 +25 w/ a 235/40-18 you will be good for 1.5"

^ agreed.

i scrubbed on my 05 stockies with 20mm spacers in the rear

But i was packed for "8 days vacation" with a full tank of gas. wasn't enough to cut tires or do any damages, so im looking forward to getting coilovers installed and keeping the same setup (maybe rolled fenders)
