2006 6SPD: Zenetti Star

I will be putting my wheels on tomorrow and posting pictures providing the weather holds up. What do you all think of my wheel choice?

Going with 20 x 8.5 with a 40mm offset.

Are these called "Star" now instead of the Zenetti Five? Just curious. I plan on getting a set of these also very soon in a 19" for my 2nd Gen.

here was a set of those (In 20's I think) on eBay for a steal (like $650 INCLUDING the tires) off of a maxima (yep, same bolt pattern) but the ones on eBay were not a chrome but rather a different finish. Those in 20's with the Black centers are what Acura's Ghost put on his NBP TL a while back and they made my top two choices for Black-center rims (I did not go that direction as you can see from my avatar). Nice wheels though and not "too" expensive.

Here's the link to the Zenetti fives in black

Update. Had an issue clearing the Brembos. Shows you what some tire and wheel places know. I could have mounted the wheel with a 3mm spacer however if I wanted to get one that was Hub-centric I would have had to gotten a 5mm spacer which would have pushed the wheel out a little to far for my taste.

So I went back and did some research and about 2 hours of test fits on my car trying to find a 1 piece wheel that would clear the Brembo without the use of a spacer. As a result I give you the TIS Model 07 with a 30 offset.

This 20x8.5 wheel has about a 2.5 inch lip and clears the Brembos without the use of a spacer. You heard me correctly all you 6-speed owners, a 1 piece wheel that clears the brembos. To make things even better, most of the wheels offered by TIS with a 30 offset will clear the brembos.

The Shop here only had two wheels in stock. The others should be here Tuesday. As always I will post pictures as soon as I get the wheels on.

Too bad you couldn't get the Zenitti's to work out. That new wheel your now showing looks very "Beemer-ish" so it doesn't look as distinctive as the Zen's would have IMHO. But there are a number of wheels with big lips that clear the Brembos. I believe the Ruff 281's have a slightly larger lip than those with 2.75" or 3" lip on a 19x8.5" wheel. They probably also have a 20" wheel but I haven't seen the Ruff's on any TL's yet (even though they appear to be the lowest priced 1-peice you can get with a huge lip).

I agree with you on the look of the wheel. I would have really liked the Zenitti to have worked out however I could not live with the wheel being a few mm just outside the fender.

Another update, I got a call late last night saying one of wheels was labeled wrong at the warehouse and had the wrong offset. They are shipping another out however it won't be in until Friday.

Thumbs up Got my wheels on today.

Overall I am pleased with the outcome. I am planning on a drop in about a month.
