For those that upgraded your rims to 18in A-spec...Did you guys have to purchase a separate set of A spec rims and have a spare set of 17in stock rims? Or were you able to pay the difference between the two and just get one set of A-spec rims?

I am getting a tl soon and would like 18in A-spec rims. I dont like the idea of having having to purchase another set of rims when id be only using one of them. Im sure i can sell them through ebay or craigslist, but is there anyway to spare the trouble. TIA

Two things that I *believe* to be true:

A) The A-SPEC rims come as part of the wheel/suspension package. I don't know that you can get the rims direct from your dealer without also getting the suspension kit.

B) "Depends on the dealer" when it comes to rim upgrades. Many will provide you with some sort of 'credit' for the stock rims and charge only the difference for the "upgraded" rims. Check with your dealer to see what their policy is.

C) You may end up wanting that other set of rims/tires for winter driving if you live in a snowy area. Keeps the road salt away from the A-SPEC rims!

I bought my aspec rims on ebay used a year ago. they are the original gunmetals. at the same time, I am keeping my oem rims because I wanna use them every winter. Right now, I am rolling on them so that I can keep my aspec's salt-free this time of the year. I cant wait until spring comes so that I can put them back on.
