Question 19" or 18" Konig imagines, Your opinion please

I could buy the NEW 19" konig Imagines in Black Opal, Or the 18" ones. But Will 19" be TOO big? Here is a pic of a TL with 18" Imagines and H&R sport springs, I also have H&R springs on my car. What do you guys think I should get 18's or 19's??? Rory

I'd imagine a number of people here will say go with the 19s. I personally like 18s on a TL. I think the sidewall on a TL with 19s is just a bit too thin for my own tastes. But really, that's just me. I'm not saying I don't like 19s, it's just that on this topic, bigger isn't necessarily better for me.

It really depends on your driving habits and road conditions in your area... I have 19s and I love them... but honestly... if I had to do it over again... I'd probably just go with 18s. I've seen 18's that looked great!!! Having 19s you'll get to know ALL pot holes in your area...

if i were to upgrade to 19's, i wouldn't go with the same rim...your rims are sweet, but it just doesnt make sense to spend all that dough for wheels and tires just to get the same look...i love 19's, and everybody has 18's now...so to me, its about standing out...but, i really cant decide...i could get beautiful 18's and not worry too much about how i drive or get 19's and constanly have to worry about road hazards...Shyne

When i get the wheels for my car i am definately going with 18's. Not only are they cheaper, but running with a larger sidewall height helps make sure that your wheels are on the car more than they are in the shop. Not sure which wheel im going to go for yet though.

Your don't need new wheels! You car already looks great. If you were getting a different wheel I would say go for 19s, but not for the same wheel.

If the roads by you are not bad, then go 19's. I don't think I would be able to drive around bent free in NY...... 18's for me

when you said "black opal", do you mean you want black or gunmetal rims? PLEASE don't do that!!! I think dark or black wheels look ugly as hell....go with some CHROME or a nice machined silver!! And go 19's!!!

No! No black rims for me. Konig's black opal finish looks like a nice machine finish, but they jsut use fancy words.

I haven't got my rims yet (still undecided on which rims to get)....but when I do get rims...I'll most likely go with 18s:

1) They are cheaper.
2) Tires are especially cheaper
3) Tires are more easily in stock compared to 19s
4) Don't have to worry much about rubbing compared to 19s
5) Especially pot holes!

Everyone I know say get 19s...of course they look better...but it's not worth the trouble. You'll be spending more money buying new rims....cause they're so big and the tires are so small....you'll bent your rims so easily....but then again it's just my opinion.

...again, I love my 19s, BUT I also noticed some lost of power AND also the need to apply more breaks for stopping... but I've gotten used to it...
