18x8.5F and 18x9.5R with 30 offset ??

hey guys, i m planning to get a set of Work Emotion CR-Kai off a dude with a 350Z. The rims have an offset of 30 and the front is 18x8.5 while the rear is 18x9.5. I have an 06 TL with stock suspension, do u think it'll fit?

I also got my wheels from a guy with a 350, they are 19x8 and 19X9 with a 30 offset. They fit great... no rubbing.... i think you will be ok.... hope that helps....

There are members who have 8.5width and 35mm without rubbing issues. So in your case, 30mm, your front wheels may stick out 5mm more than the 35mm offset does, which should be ok. But I think your rear may stick out too much with such low offset. It is going to extend 34mm more than stock.

Rear will prob rub a bit, 30 I think is too low..
I just put 19x9.5 +45 in the rear of mine, and slightly rubs (2in drop) rolling fender
Are the wheels local, I would say test fit before payment..my

These wheels are beautiful. I would love to see them on a TL, I think they will looks super especially with a nice drop. Btw, do you know what tire size the Z is running in front and back?

Thanks.

When I was buying wheels for my G35 Coupe, I almost bought those exact wheels. Anyways, I remember I did some searches on this site, looking for pictures, and I ran across pictures of a TSX with those rims on. They looked hot, so I know they'll look killer on the TL...

As far as the sizes... I'm guessing the fronts are 245/40-18 and the rears are 275/40-18. That's the most common widths the G/Z guys run when using aftermarket wheels.

PS: Be sure to order hub-adapters from somewhere. The hub-size on the TL is smaller than the G/Z, so the hub-adapters your friend has, won't fit your TL.

I also have today off, and I happen to have a set of 18x8+30mm rims sitting around (the stock G35 Coupe wheels), so maybe I'll do a test fit on our TL and snap some pics for grins and giggles to see how they look.

Ok, so I test fitted the 18x8 +30mm rims on our TL... And I think it's close... I think the fronts ought to be ok with those offsets, but I'm not sure about the back... The 18x8 +30mm looked pretty tight back there, I'm not sure how a 9.5" wide rim will do back there with the same offset.

Granted, these are 245/45-18 tires, so the sidewalls are taller than what you'd want to actually run on the TL, but hopefully you get an idea of fit, from these pictures...

I would've test fitted the Work Wheels off my G35 on the TL, but my Work Wheels are +20mm offset, so I'm sure that'll look whack on the TL...

After I did the test fitting, I'd probably recommend that you buy the front rims off him, but then pass on the rears and order a new matching set for the rears, for a couple reasons...

1.) I don't think 9.5" +30mm will fit
2.) You probably don't want to have a staggered rim on the TL. What size tire you planning on putting on the 9.5" wheel? Anything less than 275 on that wheel will look stretched... And I'm pretty sure a 9.5" wearing a 275 width tire, on +30mm will definately not fit the TL.
3.) Even if it did fit, having wider tires on back than front on the TL is a little silly, but that's just my opinion You could put the same size tires on all 4 rims, but than the rears will look seriously stretched.

When I was shopping for Work Emotion CR Kai, they are about $330 a piece new, so I'd recommend buying the rears new, so they match the fronts from your friend.

How close is the wheel geometry of the TSX and the TL? Just curious, becuase I found the thread where a guy in a TSX had these rims... His were 18x7.5" +48mm offset.

THANKS avs007 !!!! haha ya i dont think i will get the rear off him. and it is pretty silly to get wider rims at the back when i have a FDW =.= lol

the only reason y i want to get 9.5" wide is becaues this work emotion cr Kai looks different when it's 9.5" wide.

as u can cc the spoke in the front is a little different than the ones at the rear. the spoke for the rear kinda goes inwards which makes the rim look mean !!!

ya i saw those work rim on the tsx in the blackmarket forum, he's selling them for 1150 which is kinda $$$ lol

http://www.ravspeconline.com/shop/ca...a9dbed26adc34d

this site is selling those for 286 each

They also come in polished silver.... Personally, I'd get the gun-metal. I'm not into the bronze/goldish color rims. Maybe on a black car, but not on the ABP.
