18x8.5 Offset 35

Hello,

I was wondering will this fitment work with my 05 TL. The wheel specs are 18x8.5 Offset 35. Will that work? As of right now, I am not lowered but planning too. Will it be ok with my stock height?

Thanks for the help!

youll be perfectly fine with those specs at stock height... even a 2" drop would be okay

I have 19x8.5 +35 and they sit pretty flush. 18x8.5 +35 will be very good now and when you go low later.

The front should be perfectly flush, the rear will set in just a bit, a few mm, at stock height. As you lower the car, the natural camber will cause them to set less and less flush, which is a good thing, because then you can run a man's tire, not this 225 crap everyone is running :-)

I have 19x8.5 +35 in the front and it sits perfectly flush with some meaty 245/40 tires really helps with the bumps. In the back the 8.5" +35 will not sit flush
you will need to add a 15mm-20mm spacer to make them stick out more or get a staggered setup like me. My rear is 19x9.5" +35 and I added spacers.

From the factory the rear is only inboard 5mm compared to the front, so if your 19 x 9.5, sitting 13 mm outboard from the front, needed spacers, you have some crazy camber in the rear.

I have 18x8.5 +35 (245/40) front and 18x9.5 +32 (255/40) rear, they are very flush.. no spacers required. I had to roll my fenders bc I was getting rubbing in the back.

I'm not surprised, you're about 5-8mm from optimal (depending on the tire). I'd like to see this set up F&R, got any pix?

Wait so I'm planning on getting 19x8.5 +35 offset with 235/35 tires. Will I need spacers for that or is that only if I drop it? Because I'm planning on keeping it stock for now.

So, if I want my wheels to look flush all around and I'm probably going to lower it 2 inches; And the wheels I want are 18's what width should i get? and offset? Should i go 18x8.5 or 18x7.5?

There is really no way to tell exactly, each car is a little different. It also depends on the exact drop (which will actually be different front to rear), and the tires you want (some guys are all about the wheel, some guys like the wide tires). Finding out the exact look you want (wheel vs tire) will help a lot. Myself, I always suggest getting a little less offset so you can drop to your preference, then get spacers to get it exact. If you have too much wheel you're then forced to tuck it with camber, and or run a skinnier tire.

I always recommend 18 x 9.5 +45 because it gives you so many options, but 18 x 8.5 +35 would do the same thing.
