Hi,

So I have a 2005 6spd TL and I'm wondering if these rims will clear my front brakes ? 18x8 with 40 offset. I know some rims don't clear the BIG brembos.
Will these?


Also I am thinking of k-sport coilovers. There new designed in 2010 and offer 36 way adj. I can pick them up new for about $750. What does every1 think? I don't want to turn my TL into my friends tsx on megans. His ride was bad at any setting , sold them and put on springs with stock shocks.

The size & offset don't mean anything about fitting the brembos. I t has everything to do with wheel design. More specifically the rear pad of the wheel you select. So the best bet is to list the type of wheel your thinking of, and hope that someone has test fitted them prior. If not, you need to contact the manufacturer or find a shop that is willing to let you order 1 wheel & do a test fit. They usually would charge you for shipping that "said" wheel though. maybe $20-$25.

Hrm, and as far as the K-sports. To me they seem targeted toward the "drift" market, which may mean more FIRM or HARSH to create that "track like" feel. IMHO I would use that $750 for a set of gently used tien coillovers. Check the black market region for a set.
