18's or 19's

I am a new 3G TLS owner but not new to Acura or cars. I am torn between running 18 or 19s on my car. I plan on lowering my car with either Tein or BC coilovers. I also have no problem with rolling the fenders. The dilemma I have is I want to run 19s but am unsure of what offset to run a flush setup without having to run spacers. I have searched the forum & I have searched specs but i cannot get a definite offset number to where I can run without having to spacers.

Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.

Read through here: 3G TL Tires, Wheels & Suspension - AcuraZine Community

Ultimately goes down to personal opinion..

Personally, I run 22's

Thats it?

Op- I would do 18's with a good tire. Then lower it.

16's for go.

18's if you're going with a bright wheel, 19's if you're going with a dark wheel. If you're looking for something a bit more comfortable, I'd choose the 18's because the tire sidewall will be a bit taller than the 19's, and a lot more comfortable.

I think the 3G body visually calls for an 18". I've had both and will never go back to 19.

Yes yes, 17s for go go of course, but the few guys that I've seen go for aftermarket 17s are speed demons looking for 15lb wheels. Op didn't come across as that type. Not ignoring your 16" recommendation as that size doesn't clear Brembos.

I thought the exact same thing, until I saw them in black. Even my Hyper Silver's look a bit small on the car now. I would still choose 18's over 19's for tire sidewall reasons, but 19's can look great IMO if you have the combo.

I think it's more about a lip...a wheel with a lip needs at least 1" bigger to visually be okay.
I'm done with no contrast...

Agreed, a bright lip can make all the difference.

19x8.5 +30 offset. No spacers, car is not lowered. If I were to order these all over again I'd go with 18's, 19's almost look too big IMO. It's all personal preference.

I'd go 18's too...perfect balance of tire and wheel for the car IMO.
Plus, gotta lower the car a bit. Just gotta.

I don't think it's the wheel that looks too big, but the tire that looks too small, and if people plan on keeping the 25.3" OD with 19's then it's a necessary evil. But I think they would look fine with a 26" OD and they would look right for the car (in black of course). For a silver wheel, 18" all the way.

im on tein s techs and hp blues
18x9.5 et30 on 235/40/18 square stance
no rubbing under any conditions.. id say its close to flush when looking straight down at the tire and fender
my only regret is my ride height, another three quarters of an inch to a inch drop would really make the stance pop, however im
almost certain i would need to roll fenders if i go any lower

Attachment 120350
Attachment 120356

and like other members already stated, 19s will give you a much harsher ride since you'll be running a thinner sidewall
going from stock 45 series sidewall to 40 series was a huge difference in ride feel... both good and bad
the good is that when you take sharp turns your turn in feels much more precise and it doesnt feel like the sidewall is rollover like the 45 series
the bad is you feel alot more of the little things on the road and it makes for a slightly harsher ride thats definitely noticeable

The ride is definitely rough. Thankfully nothing rubs. Car looks real good. Love the white wall . Are you in springs ?

thanks man the tire lettering is definitely a head turner, i always get alot of double takes from people at stop lights just cause they stand out so much.. but dont think i would do it again on my next set of tires though.. its pretty pricey and the installation itself was a real bitch.. took 3 and a half hours installing it

i am on drop springs btw, tein s-techs and tokico hp blues

How low did you go ?
I need new shocks and struts. I'm trying to stay away from coils. I want a better ride

website says 1.2" in the front and 1.3" in the rear but honestly felt more like 1.6-1.8" drop
When you say a better ride are you talking about better handling? because the S-Techs are only slightly firmer than stocks
id recommend it for people that want to retain comfort but want a slightly more aggressive stance
