18" Acura wheels to be discontinued replaced with two new optional ones

Not sure if this is a repost but, I just heard from my parts department that the origianl 18" TL optional wheels are discontinued now. Soon they will be replaced by a 18" chrome wheel and another optional one that there not sure of yet.

BTW I am a sales rep at an Acura dealer.

I personally hope that one of the options is a brushed silver/chrome finish similar to the stock rims. This would certainly be more aesthetically pleasing across the entire color line than the darker finish of the current a-spec kit style 18's, or after-market high-gloss chrome (in my opinion)....especially for those of us with Satin Silver cars.

I'd love to see some pics when you get them.

Parts has confirmed this with me. We only have 3 sets left. We never kept that many in inventory. Im sure there will be pics somewhere on the internet before we ever get these wheels in.

The OEM 18"s can be found on ebay for 1K. Any discount off that, including 50%, would be a bargain.

It will be interesting to see if they go 8.5" again.. That was a mistake if they think that 235 tires are right on the car.

8.5" wheel is a good idea IMO. 235 series tires on said rims is not. But, that's just my opinion. I got 245's and kind of wish I had gotten 255's.
