17x7 with 45 offset: will it rub?
17x7 with 45 offset: will it rub?
Hey guys,
I'm looking at some wheels 17X7 with 45mm offset. Will it rub with and without comptech drop? Does it matter what tires I get? Do you guys know what is the perfect tire size to keep it at stock height and thereby keep gears and speedometer the same? I've noticed that people with 235/45/17 tires experience some rubbing. I've also noticed that people with 225/50/17 experience rubbing as well.
Really appreciate your help,
Peter.

The 17 x 7 will not accomodate a 235/45-17 (per manufacturers recommendations) so I suggest you go with either 215/50-17 or 225/45-17. The 225's have a much larger selection to choose from. +45 offset should provide enough clearance and free of rubbing dropped.
