16 x 8 ET38 - will it rub?
16 x 8 ET38 - will it rub?
Hi all,
I've searched all over and didn't find an answer - at least a clear one...
I have a 2006 TL and am getting a winter tire setup for damn cheap (Pirelli Snow's and rims for $300!!! One season used - from reliable source).
Only issue is the the offset is less than stock. Any potential issues with rubbing? Looks like it's only a 7 MM difference, but don't know if that will cause an issue...
Thanks,
Deep

-16 offset?!?!
or +16?! either/or it wont fit at all?
16x8 with a 215/60, hmm doesnt sound to me like it'll rub, but why are you lower your rim size? they must be nice? post picss!

No dude +38 Offset (See the ET38 in my subject) The 215/60-16 referred to the 16" rim size! :-)
I'm only lowering them because they are for winter and I have a chance to buy a complete set with rims for $300, which is a steal for ANY tires! Normally, these pirelli shows on rims will run you about $1100.

8" +38mm is somewhat conservative.
