1 odd winter tire

Hi Guys

I have a set of 3 Michellin X ice tires with approx 70% tread remaining. I lost one tire in an accident.
Would i be ok if i put on a Nokian winter tire that has approx the same tread on it?
all tires would be 235/45r17.

thanks

I wouldnt. If anything get matching pairs. They will grip differently.

Our cars don't have AWD, so they aren't super sensitive to mis-matched tires with different tread levels. I seriously doubt you'd notice any difference in performance with one oddball snow tire.

By the way, do you live in Alaska or something? Why are we talking about snow tires in late May?
