The 08W60-SEP-201A supersedes 08W60-SEP-202A suspension. TRUE OR FALSE?

hey Azine, does anyone knows about this?

"The 2006 TL 6MT A-Spec Suspension Kit number is 08W60-SEP-201A/ 08W60-SEP-202A ….The part number supersedes from the 201A to the 202A"

this quote is from a guy that im trying to buy the A-spec 04-06 MT suspension.

can anyone help me figure out if this is true? i know the 202A is for a 07-08 TL sport suspension. is this the same?

yes it supersedes the 201A. i recently purchased my aspec suspension and asked about this. the dealer stated that 202A supersedes the previous part number. my kit is for an 04-06 MT.

i am not aware if this is the same kit used for the 07-08.

my instructions are for 2005. on the invoice it states 202A replaces (i would assume 201A-it gets cut off).

i can't imagine the dealer sending the wrong kit.

per curry acura:
"The part# 08W60-SEP-200A was superseded to part number 08W60-SEP-201A..same kit, just the part number was updated. Then just recently the part # was updated again.

It supersedes to part # 08W60-SEP-202A..still the same Kit. The kit has not changed, only the part number was updated.

08W60-SEP-200A is actually just the old part number for the kit you ordered. "

install this weekend.

i believe from previous threads the part number for the 04-06 is 200A and 201A. i'm not sure what the parts numbers are for the 07-08.

try emailing curry acura through ebay and find out the different part numbers. i'd be interested in seeing the difference if any. i know the 07-08 kits are $20 more.

The old part numbers don't seem to work anymore, but when you put in the 202A you get 07-08 sport suspension, I guess you have to tell them you have a type s to get and kind of M/T suspension. Since the 07-08 only came auto besides the type s. We need one of those vendors on the site to shed some light, as I want to order some a-spec suspension myself. Not to sure if the 07-08 M/T a-spec will work on my 06.

Sorry, but not familiar with the drops with the specific parts, but looks like a lot of changes as Acura is only marketing the one part number now:
08W60-SEP-2M0C1 ACURA TL RR. DAMPER ASSY.
( May Have Been Discontinued )
08W60-SEP-2M0A1 ACURA TL R. FR. DAMPER ASSY.
( May Have Been Discontinued )
08W60-SEP-2M0B1 ACURA TL L. FR. DAMPER ASSY.
( May Have Been Discontinued )
08W60-SEP-200 ACURA TL A-SPEC SUSPENSION ASSY (AT)
( May Have Been Discontinued )
08W60-SEP-2M0F1 ACURA TL L. FR. DAMPER ASSY.
( May Have Been Discontinued )
08W60-SEP-2M0C1 ACURA TL RR. DAMPER ASSY.
( May Have Been Discontinued )

Once again:
08W60-SEP-201A- Superceded by replacement part. no 08W60-SEP-202A SUSPENSION ASSY., A-SPEC (AT)

do you think the 08W60-SEP-202A is the replacement for 08W60-SEP-201A then? the 202A is for 07-08. i know they will fit on a 04-06 but where is the suspension for the 04-06 then from acura?

As there are no other numbers available from what I can see, it looks like what you see is what you get, 08W60-SEP-202A.

As far as I know, the 04-06 TL is slightly heavier than 07-08.

If you happen to have read the install instructions for the 18" wheels:

05-06 TL says front and rear tire pressure should be 39 psi and 35 psi
07-08 TL says front and rear tire pressure should be 38 psi and 35 psi

This 1 psi lower on the front of a 07-08 is because it's a few pounds lighter on the front, so, probably the parts fits both models but since the weight is different then the response will be different. I guess different a-spec kits are tuned specifically to the weight and balance it should expect to handle.

hope this helps

Luis
