08 TL wheels question

Whats going on guys. I just purchased a blk on blk 08 acura tl type s with 55,596 miles on it. Its clean inside and out. I just wanted to introduce myself, names G. And I have a question as far as rims are concerned. I have the factory 17 waffles on there, but I found some blk graphite 18 inch x 11 specs, with the tire at 285 30z 18r. Is that to wide of a tire to put on my car? Its a concaved rim.

Why not test fit them???

It sounds like a used set, with tire. Pull up and test fit.
Because, there are simply too many variables to say " yes, these will fit... Or no, they won't."

For example, if not lowered, Maybe they'll fit with some modifications to the fender.... But without you seeing where they touch, your guess is as good as a blind person.

i will say that people have used sets as aggressive as this, people have gotten these wide ass wheels and tires to fit, with modifications to the fender and adding camber

I'm thinking the odds of the wheels A) clearing the Brembo brakes are fairly slim, and B) the tires and wheels fitting properly inside the wheel wells and not grinding away at body work when the steering wheel is turned and/or when hitting bumps is even slimmer.
