06 6MT with M/T ASPEC kit - is the rear lower?

Does the M/T ASPEC suspension kit lower an '06 M/T car evenly, or does the rear sit a tad lower?

Sorry to ask the obvious..but I searched and couldn't find the answer. I know that the M/T kit rakes the A/T car nicely, and the A/T kit makes the 6MT car sit way high in the front. I'm real picky with stance (it has to be perfectly even, or lower in the front) Thanks!!!!

I have the 6MT A-Spec on my Automatic. The back is slightly lower than the front now after 1 year of driving. The back has gotten a little lower over time. I'm guessing the front will still be slightly taller looking in front using 6MT A-spec on 6MT, but not as bad as Auto A-Spec on Auto TL models.

The rear would still sit lower. Here's mine with the 6mt a-spec BUT with the front Konis in the low setting (.75" lower) It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures but the front sits about 3/8" lower.

I wish I had better reference pictures but these are the only two I have of the stock suspension but with the front Konis on the low setting. You can kind of guage how much the 6mt a-spec lowers it, especially if you can zoom in on the TL in the last picture.

Hey man, love the Buicks

Is your TL a 6MT? For some reason, I cant find a 6MT TL with M/T ASPEC suspension here on AZine. I must fail at search, or something.

Sorry! I thought the title was 6mt a-spec on a 5at TL. In that case, the rear would sit the same and the front will be very slightly higher than mine. Sometimes it seems like there's more variance from kit to kit than from 6mt to 5at kit.

I have an 05 6MT with the 07-08 MT A spec suspension...it sits very close to even (maybe even lower in front) rockin the 265/35s after 1500 miles. Will try to get some pics up in the next few days.

Good deal, thanks. Do you have the p/n for that 07-08 M/T ASPEC kit?

My A-Spec was shipped from Canada and was also carried the Canadian part numbers. I ended up verifying the numbers on the actual shock/spring assemblies themselves and it did indeed match the US 6MT units. US TL's didn't have a Base model 6MT in 07-08 though.

You are correct! The 07-08 kit I have is for the Type-S m/t.

The 08W60-SEP-401A is for the 07-08 Base TL (3.2 Liter). The 08W60-SEP-401B and 08W60-401C belong to the TL-S. I can't remember if it was the B or the C that was the TL-S 6MT.

OK, so its confirmed....no ass sag I did a set of Pilot Psort AS Plus, did road force balancing and aligned per ASPEC specs....and it rides like it never has. At an indicated 140mph I had no vibration.

ASPEC 2004-2004 6MT kit on 2006 6MT car.

ASPEC 2004-2004 6MT kit on 2006 6MT car.

Looks perfect. I had to put my front Konis to the low position to get that stance.

well good for him.
i am going the way you are with changing to koni's.
my front sits to high compared to the rear.
i had the Aspec set up then switched to the H&R sport spings and it didn't help.
i plan to use one of the lower setting on the koni's to get the look i need.

^ I'm surprised....H&Rs typically retain the rake from front to rear. I'd confirm that they were installed properly.

ASPEC 2004-2004 6MT kit on 2006 6MT car.

Sorry to revive this thread, but this is exactly what I'm looking for! Only difference is i've got an 05 6MT. Reading through the posts, its hard to figure out which suspension (part #) you got. Was it the 08W60-SEP-401A, 08W60-SEP-401B or 08W60-401C. In the quoted post, you also mentioned "ASPEC 2004-2004." Did you mean 2004 - 2006? If so, do you know what part number it is?

The picture of your car is perfect! If I understand correct, you had a stock setup and all you did was install the apsec suspension kit to get that look?

Finally , does anyone know if I'll get similar results with a 2005 6MT?

thanks!

mine is sitting in the box waiting for install in a few weeks. i have 05 MT.

as for the OP, my stock suspension sits with the front slightly higher than the rear. hope the aspec kit has the car sit the way it looks in the pics on the post. i like.

hey TLtrigirl, I noticed from your posts in other threads that you installed your aspec suspension. Have you had time to take/post pictures yet?!
