'05 TL FAST rear tire wear
Iv'e read everywhere and cannot seem to figure out whats going on with my car.
about a year ago, not long after i bought the car, i made an emergency trip from north carolina to ohio, and i towed a trailer behind the car (rookie mistake, i know...dont rub it in).
so, breakdown...
the car: 2005 acura TL lowered on tein coilovers (they were on when i bought it). stock wheels
the problem: in the last 4 or 5 months, ive noticed that both rear tires wear extremely fast (as in they are bald after 30 days) all the way across. i went and had the car aligned, rather, he adjusted the toe to the max. But im still experiencing the wear. I know just lowering the car increases wear on the inside of the tire due to the camber. what i cant figure out is why my toe is off by so much, and wether or not getting the ingalls kit would do me any good.
The guy at the alignment shop assured me i need a camber kit. However, i want a second opinion because they dont really deal much with lowered cars and im particular about my car and spending unnecessary money on it!

i cant find the specs right now. its on my receipt somewhere and i cant find it. but he said he set it as close as he could. I guess im just wondering ifme towing a trailer ruined something causing that kind of toe. because even after he adjusted it, im still getting that wear. and if i read correctly, ingalls has a camber kit that has adjustable camber and toe. so now that i have read the sticky, and got some feedback on wether the kit is beneficial, im wondering what actually caused it, and if that ingalls is as good as some people say?

If the tires are wearing across the whole tread width, camber is not your problem or it's not the main problem. What changed in the last 4-5 months, is that when you towed something or did you lower it? Something changed to make it do that. Has gas mileage taken a hit? Do the tires spin freely when you jack it up? I would visually inspect all bushings and bolts and mounts for cracks. Any noises when you go over bumps?
Last, I would get it aligned by another shop, I've been to some really bad alignment shops.
