04 TL OEM wheels/tires on a 2000 Accord EX V6?
Hi:
I have a 2004 Acura TL OEM 17" wheel which are sized 17x8 and have 235/40/17 tires on them. I want to put these wheels/tires on the 2000 Honda Accord EX V6.
I am confused why TireRack recommends a tire size of 215/50/17 for a 17x8 wheel for the Accord. How is it that on two wheels with the same dimensions you can fit two different width tires on it? Wouldn't the 215/50/17 for the 17x8 wheel be too narrow if the 235/40/17 currently fits perfectly?

i just got some 19's for my 04 TL...my good friend is rolling on my stock 245/35/17 17 x 8 on his 2001 v6 aacord coupe..it fits but stick out a lil..just fyi
