I keep seeing so many dash board problems on the net for the TL, the cracks in particular. Does anybody know of Acura fixing the issue? I seen a nasty issue on Acuras facebook, the dashboard was cracked from one side to another. It is really bad. I've stated Acura has cheap qualities before and that is what I'm talking about because otherwise I think the car is great and built to last. But I see the dashboard quality, is not the same. I have dashboard issues myself, just some discoloration and 303 does not do the trick for more then oh I don't know 2-3 days. Such a shame because the TL is amazing.

 

The discoloration is a chemical in the glue/vinyl that's migrating to the surface. You will need to CLEAN the dash first and then apply 303 to help remove it. As far as the dash cracking, it's really odd because the vinyl is still very soft and pliable but its cracking at these odd locations. Acura is stepping up to the plate and is good-willing a TON of these dash issues if you've taken your car in for servicing and show that you are a loyal customer. If you are demanding a new dash and tell them you won't buy another product from them then they aren't going to help you.

IMO acura has been there to step up to the plate when they've had an issue and trying hard to fix problems that are arising as these cars get older.

 

I agree , I think the TL is a well built car and should last a very long time, it's a Honda. I've had two TLs one with no issues on the dash, but the TL I own now has the airbag outline. Not a big deal because with a little 303 it's gone for a few days.

Everyone will comment on their usual fixes, but bottom line is this is supposed to be a luxury vehicle and compete with Infiniti, BMW, Benze, you name it. Maybe they'll do something once an airbag deploys and someone gets hurt, hope this never happens, but Lexus\Toyota never thought a floor mat was such a big deal.
