Wiper mount broken...help!

I cleared off my car this morning of all the snow/ice (including the wipers) from the recent storm and when I turned them on, the left wiper mount broke loose!

The wiper is still attached to the car but is very loose and can be moved any which way. Something must have been frozen inside the mount, that when the wipers were turned on, it caused pressure and broke.

Im not sure if there is simply some screw that can be tightened or what, but can I fix this myself or do I need to take it to the dealer? My car is just out of warranty so I want avoid a costly fix.

BTW, I just had my wiper motor recall done a week ago. Any help or advice would be appreciated, as I currently can't use the wipers at all!

Thanks.

This may sound really stupid, but have you called the parts dept or the dealership and asked how much a replacement would be.

Maybe you can use some tree branches in the mean time as a brace, like someone would w/ a sprained ankle.

Thanks for the advice guys. I took it to the dealer and they just had to tighten a bolt and problem solved, free of charge!
