Windshield wipers inoperable

I accidentally tapped my windshield wiper switch with snow on my windshield and they moved but couldnt complete the cycle. This usually just burns out the 30 amp fuse (dont do it alot but i have before). I checked the fuse, it was good. Replaced it anyway. Still nothing.

Any ideas?

PS. The splines arent stripped...i hear nothing at all when i turn them on and the motor doesnt try to move at all.

Yes, test the components. And replace if necessary.

I'd test the motor first, if anything. Good luck and be careful if there's rain around!

Did your TL get the wiper motor recall work done?
IIRC, there was an issue with water collecting and corroding the wiring to the motor.

The wiper motor recall came out about the same time as the power steering hose feed and O-ring recall (@2007-2008), so most owners brought the car in for both recalls.

If the recall work wasn't performed, you should get it done now, and it'll be free.
