Windshield Wiper Issues
Windshield Wiper Issues
So I picked up a pair of Bosch Icons. After a few days I realized that the end of the passenger side wiper doesn't touch the windshield and the driver side lifts up off the window as they are whipping . So I went back to advanced auto and I tried 2 other different brands and it was the same result. I bought 26" and 19". Has anyone else had this issue? Please help.
Rain X. Seriously...I have yet to find a good wiper blade setup for the TL. I think the size/shape of the windshield makes it difficult for blades to do their job properly. Between myself and a friend of mine, we have yet to find blades that work well and last any length of time. My friend is down to a 27 or 26 inch driver's side blade to help prevent streaking. Rain X works well.
Honestly, the best wipers I found for my 08 TL-S were the stock wipers. They have the steel arm and then all you do is pay $5.00 for the inserts once they have worn out. I got tired of using other brands where they would miss spots or streak so I said what the heck and went back to the stock ones (as I took over a lease on my car and the guy had already replaced the stock wipers) and they have been excellent.

Sorry about not posting photo's! I'll get to it soon!
I have had the Bosch Icons on my TL for over a year and they have been the best wiper blades. They work well at highway speeds and around town. The end of the passenger side on mine doesnt touch either but I dont care its such a small area, no one looks out that section.
When I bought my car, it had Anco wipers on it, which actually worked pretty well in moderate to heavy rain, but since they were worn down, they sucked horribly in light rain/mist. I was getting ready to install PIAA super silicone inserts, and at the time I thought I had stock wipers. I didn't realize that the PIAA inserts were different widths, so after going through that, I returned the inserts, took off the Anco wipers, and went with OEM Honda wipers (~$30 for the pair, 26" and 19"), and a $3 gallon of Rain-X wiper fluid. The Rain-X fluid works very well, and the Honda wipers are even more awesome - they barely make any noise when wiping, they cover a large area of the windshield, they make complete contact with the glass, and they don't streak. I'm very happy with the setup.
