drive with the windshield off and see how you like it

 

Man, that's a pretty good idea.. forget the carbon hood crap... just take the windshield off!

 

My windshield also has a vertical crack in the center. It seemed like overnight I have a 12 inch crack and there is no rock chip. My car is still under warranty. I hate bringing it in as they seem difficult to deal with trying to get them to fix things under warranty. When I bought the car they wanted to sell me some type of expensive windshield treatment. Had I known their windshields were sub par in quality, I probably would have bought it. There's a good chance my next car won't be an Acura. Really, a 35K car with windshields that crack like that?

and do you have an acura factory windshield on your car? more than likely the windshield will not be covered under warranty since it's a "wear and tear" item.

not sure why it would spontaneously crack like that unless there was something else with the car that would make it crack like it did. the only thing you can do is try otherwise you'll have to eat the cost.
