Smile Windshield Glare!

Hello, new member here. I've had my TL for about a year now. Just wondering if the rest of you are annoyed with the glare from the dashboard reflected onto the front windshield. For me it's a must to wear polarized sunglasses or else I'm constantly seeing the dash. This combined with the humongous A-pillar that causes a blind spot have not been encountered other cars that I have driven. Other than that this is a very complete car for the money. Any solutions to the glare issue are welcome! thanks

did you put armorall or something on it? THat might be causing glare. I use 202 aerospace protecant to get rid of the ashy dashboard, giving it a nice dark finish and it stops it from glaring.

I agree. I have nothing on my dash and i get the glare too. I think it stands out because of the different materials used on the dash. I especially notice the instrument hump. I also agree on the blind spot from the A pillar. The B pillar also is kinda fat. Love my car though.

nothing applied to the dash to cause the glare issue. like george said, i think it has to do with the materials and instrument cluster hump. quite possibly the angle of the windshield too.... i'll search for some protectant that doesn't shine and report my findings....
i've almost run a few people over by not being able to see them due to the blind spot!

I know this advice is not recommended, but running over other people is not recommeded either.

I recommend using rubbing alcohol to wipe-down the dash. This should leave the surface a dull as possible.

The use of MultiVex Mirrors can very significantly reduce this problem.
