ok so all the cars i have own before this have had not cats!! with that said i got my car in feb, never really ran it hard, well tonight some little kid in a 00 prelude wanted to run so i did a 3rd gear at about 80.... car is a auto. after the run i smelled something bad! it didnt smell like oil or burning fluid but it did smell like something burnt!!.. was this my exhaust? and is there a mod i can do to get rid of this. i hate smells and i like some spirited driving.

motor wise car is all stock with 77+k on it, i got it with 76,200

 

That's coming from your cats. It happens to these cars.

 

thank you for fast response i was worried a little. i guess that is good to know lol but the only way to get around it would be precat deletes and a high flow cat i guess then.

 

I got WOT and smell my cats...but I still run my stock cats.

 

it was just a bad smell lol i hate that! i was like "oh great what now" i dont have to pass emissions so i might have to see what i can do about fixing it
