What's going on? Random starting issues.
Randomly, my car would NOT start. This has happened for the third time this month and all three times, I had to get my friend to come help me jump start car. Once jumped, this issue will be temporarily fixed for the next couple of starts. After jumping it the second time, the dash had all these random lights too.
This doesn't only happen when the car is cold. When I start the car, there would be crazy static sounds coming from the engine and the lights from flicker. Only static sounds. All three times, there were more then 1/4 of the tank left of gas, so it isn't an issue of being low on gas and parking on a slant.
What can possibly be going on? It isn't a batterie's issue, since the first time I sent it into the dealer, they charged me $35 to check my battery and they were mighty healthy.
What can it possibly be? Just trying to gather some ideas before I give it to the dealer for a full "inspection" which will cost me an arm and leg just for checking.
Thanks.

It still sounds like a battery/battery connection problem, even though the dealership "tested" it. Check the cables and connections yourself for looseness and corrosion. Have the dealership test battery output - for free, this time.
Yep- corrosion on the cable- external or internal needs to be checked at both ends
I cant believe they charged 35 to test battery- hopefully that included a full test of the alternator and a load test of the batt
And then- batteries are good 3 to 4 years and one day just stop working- kind of like coil packs or lightbulbs
Parts stores will often test things for free- call around
The dealer is not your friend~

Problem was fixed by a family friend of mine (mechanic @ a local garage). Turns out that grounding connection wasn't the best plus the fact that the battery was slowly getting weak. Thanks guys.
