What are the symtoms of motor mounts going bad?
I have a 2008 Acura TL Type S with 77K miles. I was wondering what are the symtoms of motor mounts going bad. The reason why I'm asking is because the dealer is recommending them to be replaced.
I don't really feel the car vibrating or any sort of shaking.

check your exhaust flex pipe - is it frayed or close to it? Worn motor mounts can add strain to the flex pipe and cause premature fraying.
You can also pop the hood and have someone rev the car to see how much the engine pulls back.
If you are handy and do any work on your own vehicles, then you should have no problem removing the side mount to inspect it - pretty easy mount to remove and if the side mount is toast, most likely the front/rear are gone as well.
