Weird Electrical Problem

Hey I had a wierd problem with my car today, and I'm not sure what happened. I had the car running while changing my reverse light.

When I got back in the car, my speedometer lights were off...so i restarted the car not thinking anything of it.

Well when i restarted the car, my blue speedometer lights came on, white never came on (white shows mph, rpm). After a few seconds, the blue faded away and all i see is darkness.

Also, I have no power to my windows, windshield wipers, windshield spray, no turn signals, (hazards do work though). And the needles on my gauges (which arent lighting up), dont move.

I tried restarted again, no change. Tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, that didnt work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

most likely you blew a fuse, check them under your driver side dash kick panel

remove the cover and on the backside it indicates which fuse is for what. theres also a fuse box under the hood on the drivers side. theres just three clips holding the cover on, which is labeled as well. located inside is a fuse puller. (i think theres extra fuses in there too) use it to remove the bad ones. you'll know which one is bad when you see the small metal conductor stripe inside the fuse burnt or melted.

Alright Fuse 21: IG Meter was blown. I replaced that. I now have the malfunction indicator lamp on. Which according to my manual "one of the engines emissions control systems may have a problem"

thanks again jptl

If your washer doesn't work, then you also blew fuse #20.
