WDP Never Match? True or not?

I live in Vancouver Canada. After my front passenger door got repainted due to a accident, the new painting color is much whiter than the other part, which makes my WDP looks so ugly now.
Is saying "WDP Never Match" true?
Can somebody tell me what to do please?

That color is a hard one to match, but not impossible. You should take it back and have it redone to your satisfaction. It sounds like the painter may not have blended the repair, which is inexcuseable. Often on a repair like that the best way to do it is to paint the whole side and blend near the front and back, where it is more difficult to see. When blending, the color basecoat is tapered thinner and thinner near the edges (as opposed to an abrupt change) so slight mismatches essentially vanish. After that the clearcoat is applied right out to the edges of the outer panels affected. Done right, you wont see it.

I agree with Painter. I put a scrape on my rear fender well and a dealer recommended body shop who was known to be able to properly match the WDP quoted me $850 and would have to blend in the back quarter panel and the back door and possibly a portion of the trunk. All this for a 4 inch scrape. Someone told me about a detailing shop who did good work and I had the work done there for $250 and they did not touch the back door or trunk. You cannot tell that any work was done. The paint matched perfectly but everyone indicated that this was the hardest color to match and thus it pays to go to someone who has experience (and success) with this color.

Thanks for the advice. But the problem is that I can not find any "success" auto shop to match WDP( Never heart anybody professional here in Vancouver).
Perhaps some body knows?

Not true

It really depends on who is painting it but it CAN really match the pearl perfectly if you go to a reputable body shop...

any pearl in a paint makes it difficult to match, also the paint on the car has been exposed to elements, so you probably will be able to tell the fresh paint a lil bit, but like it has been said b4, blending is a must to get a closer match. WDP is a bitch of a paint to match, you realy gotta seek out a good paint shop or painter that can do this, it often takes several tries and paint trials to get an almost exact match. Whenever a car has had paint work, it will never be the same as the factory paint..
