are warped rotors covered by warranty?

I have a 05 TL and my front rotors are warped (shaking when I brake) and I was wondering if anyone knows if this is considered "normal wear and tear" and covered by warranty?

It is not normal wear and tear and not a warranty item. Warped rotor are most often caused by hard breaking resulting in massive, fast heating of the rotors. This is usually followed by rapid cooling, not using the brake, resulting in distortion of the rotor. It might not be immediately noticable, and it gets progressively worse as the brakes are used due to the uneven surfaces.

Resurfacing the rotors is fairly inexpensive and is the usual corrective measure assuming that the rotors are not badly worn.

Yes mine were polished, they will do it if they appear to be wrapped again, untill they canno't do it they will change the rotors, all under warranty.

No problem to do it under warranty, the point it's the brakes are not strong enough for the power and/or weight of the car. Infinity have also bad rotors on G35 and they change or repair it untill the end of warranty. They recognised that they brakes are a bit weak and don't resist a lot to few hard braking actions.

It'a not so non expensive to do it if i remember about $150.00, why pay when it could be free ????????????

Warped rotors are a myth. It's not actually warped, it's deposits of brake material on the rotor.

Anyway, the fixing results are the same. You can machine the rotors or buy new ones. Make sure you brake in new pads correctly, and make sure you care for your brakes properly, and this shouldn't be a chronic issue.
