any1 know what might be the problem? The lights appeared suddenly.

two things happened recently.
i changed my cars battery after a heavy rain. The reason I changed the battery was because the cars alarm system kept on randomly going off. Especially during rain time. I thought it had to do with battery. And it was good I was Gold, but it’s old and I thought voltage might have to do something with it.

I checked the outside fuse box everything looks okay to me. The MICU was not flooded by the rain just so you know. The light appeared suddenly with just heavy rain and I disconnected the battery so the alarm would shut off. During the alarm the headlights are on, the car would not react to key fob and horn would go off as well. I bought the battery next day. Boom suddenly- the light showed up. Any clue? Thanks

 

• Scan it and let us know what codes show up.
• Check all the fuses at underhood and underdash box
• Make sure your battery cables are good

 

So what happened? I am having the same issue with random alarm and lights.

 

When that happened to me, Paul finally discovered it was tiny plastic pieces in the oil pump messing with the gears. We have no idea where they came from.

Strange, huh? Didn't make sense to me either.

alarm is going off because car thinks something opened. Check trunk latch, hood latch and door latches to make sure they work and report properly.
