VSA, ABS and "!" Symbol All On

Hey guys,

This past weekend I was out of town for a tournament, my car was parked here at home. I turned it on this morning so that I could go to work and my ABS light, VSA light, and "!" light were all on. I tried turning the car on and off but the lights still stayed on. I have 18" Aspec's that I put on over a month ago but this just happened today. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I was looking through the threads and there's a ton of possible reasons this could be happening, but the car is still driving like a champ so I don't know what the deal is. I'm going to check fuses 17 and 18 under the hood and fuse 18 in the dash, add brake fluid, and unhook the battery for a bit and plug it bag in during my lunch break, hopefully that fixes it, but other than that would it be the speed sensors? It's so strange because everything was fine the last time I drove it and it's been sitting at home for the last 3 days. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

same thing happened to me, they just popped up one day...i had no choice but to take it to the dealer. they charged me $140 and cleared the codes. they said nothing was wrong with the car and they don't know why the lights came on...great.

car has 42k on it and extended warranty so i'm still fighting with acura client relations to get my money back.

idk what to tell you, but you'l probably have to take it in and have them cleared. good luck to you.

Disconnect the battery for like 5 mins and see if the lights turn off.

Same exact situation here. Mine happened about a week ago. I took it to two auto part shops and neither one of them found codes. They both said I need someone who can read the ABS codes to see if anything is going on.

I have found a few places that will check for codes but they all want between $75-100.

I've heard this could be due to a wheel speed sensor and several other things.

Anyone have any recommendations? Any ideas where I can have the code checked cheaper, or better yet free?

I've tried disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and pulling the backup fuse, but neither worked.

That's really weird ganjaghost72. I couldn't find anywhere to get my codes checked at a discounted price. I'm going to take it into my Honda certified mechanic on Tuesday. They charge $95 to read the code, but they apply that cost to the price of the repair.

I know you said you went to two places to have the code read, but did you take it to a place like Auto Zone? I had the exact same problem as you last week, took the car up to Auto Zone and they said my APP sensor was bad. Dealership wanted $500 to replace it. I ordered the part for $125 online and spent an hour replacing it myself. It was an easy fix. I disconnected the battery for 20 minutes and all the lights were off after I started the car back up

Yeah I went to O"reilly's and Autozone. Neither of them could read the code that I had.

I took it to my Honda certified mechanic. Front right wheel speed sensor wiring was chewed by a mouse. $285 to fix. OUCH! It would have been $100 for them to diagnose it I didn't have them repair it. Oh well.
