Vibrations When Idling

So this morning, I was driving my roommate to class and for some reason I noticed my steering wheel and my seat was vibrating. This is the first time I noticed it. I got the car about a month ago so I'm not sure if it was there before. When I am in motion, the vibration goes away but when I come to a stop I start feeling the vibration again. Is this normal?

It's not a very crazy out of control vibration but it was enough for me to notice it a bit.

Seafoam your engine and check your motor mounts.

the TL purposely mis-fires the enigne to heat up the cats for lower emissions while warming up , this is the vibrating you feel upon startup

Hmm maybe that's why, it was probably warming up.. It's nothing big I was just concerned. I'll post up more if it becomes more noticable.

the front and rear motor mounts are vac assisted at idle to smooth vibration
Check those first- a vac leak or a broken mount causing leak may be the issue

Seafoam it, new spark plugs for those over 60k miles
Clean TB throttle plate

gen2 found motor mounts broken after 50-60 k miles is very normal
Most cars in for the warranty trans at that mileage found with bad front mount.
gen2 stiffen by vac pressure when on full throttle!

Could is also be something with the brakes? My sienna has crapped out rotors and the pads are extremely low, causing it to vibrate during breaking.

Interesting didnt know that. I was wondering why my car misfired only on cold startup even after I changed the plugs. Interesting gotta look into this more.

i have the same problem.....seat and wheel vibrations are really annoying while at idle...especially when the car is cold.....otherwise when speeding up its fine no vibrations at all.....sometimes i can even hear the dash rattling its that bad......my 07 tsx has only 20K km's on so is it possible that the engine mounts are bad? anyways taking it for a service next week and will complain about it see what they say.....didn't expect this from acura at all

Having vibration issues at cold start up. Intentional miss-fire likely the cause; it feels like an engine in need of a tuneup.

Also get a rattling sound from the handle bar over the driver seat, and from the centre console down towards the shifter area.

Mine is an 06 TL Auto with 55,000km.
