Vibration (buzz) in gas pedal and steering wheel
Vibration (buzz) in gas pedal and steering wheel
I'm getting a vibration or buzz like sensation in the gas pedal and steering wheel. this started to happen after i put on the new continental dws tires. checked air pressure. balanced the wheel twice.
did it also happen after hitting the curb/bent wheel incident? (or whatever it may have been)
if so, that "impact" may have caused the motor to shift just enough, and tear a mount, which is now causing the vibration to appear

fries2000 and i hate cars...thanks for your help
i forgot to mention that i hit a big rock (almost the size of a volleyball) going 60mph on the highway. its more of a buzz than vibration and its in the gas pedal and steering wheel

:ibthreadmerge:
or even the jerk of hitting the rock was enough to again tear a mount (or throw something else out of balance)
edit: and considering that it happened after that incident, that is kinda a critical piece of information, since something happened from the impact (and not like normal wear and tear)

If its a buzz its probably a wheel bearing. Try just barely turning the steering wheel left and then right while going down the freeway and see if the noise gets better or worse in one direction.
It could explain some of the other issues you're having too.

that too possibly
(which could also very well bring the alignment back into specs too, if it is not holding the wheel straight anymore)
