very strange thing
very strange thing
I'm new here, I recently got a 2005 6spd Acura TL and I love it.
I have noticed that when I first get in the car and start going to my destination every time I take a right or left turn there is a clicking noise ( a noise like if your standing on a frozen pond and you hit your skate on it you can hear the water move around under the ice). when the care is parked and I move the steering wheel left to right I dont hear a thing and after the car has been driven and is warmed up completely there is no noise at all. I thought I would ask everyone here before taking it in. the car has 40,000 miles on it by the way.

Based on your description, that "sounds" like the CV joints getting ready to fail. Get her to a shop before warranty expires. Not certain if that's a warranty issue or not as they should not fail so soon.
I have the same problem - taking it to the dealer on Friday.

it definatly should be covered my warranty is 4yrs/50,000 miles so i have 10,000 more to go and that cv joint should definatly be covered. i just sold my mustang for this car and would only expect this kind of crap from ford not acura/honda.
How long do you think to repair? I was thinking about taking it in tomorrow would it need a day or is it something you could wait for... depending if they had an open bay?

it shouldn't take them more than a few hours to do the work. The question is whether or not they have the parts in stock or will need to order. From what I read in these forums, I don't expect the dealership is going to do this work without some initial resistance. however, if the boot is intact, and the CV joints are making this sound (in my case at 28K miles), they can not deny this should be covered under warranty. CV joints (with good boots) should last at least 75-100k if not longer. There is enough of us out there with this problem that i am surprised there has not been a TSB posted. I replaced half shafts on old Sentra (yes, i am sorry to say I used to own a nissan - never again!), the work was easy (after i figured out one side) and i did the work in my garage.
