Very noisy squeaky brake pads! (new)
My oem pads were worn to nothing, and I got oem Centric ceramic pads put on. They are very, very noisy when first starting the car out in the morning, and again if the car sits for some time before driving. Very loud creeking, squeaky stops with these ceramic pads! What are the oem brembo's made of?? are they a mixure of ceramic and metal? I need some different pads, I am done with these. They were only $30.00. I just need to get some quiet pads. I never had a problem with the oem brembo pads...

OP just change em out bro. I know exactly what you are experiencing and the problem will NOT go away. I put some $30 pads on my Type-s earlier this year and every morning, evening and after sitting they were loud as hell and don't let me get into how they sounded after washing my car and they go wet. WOW. Neighbors would look on in disbelief that I would run my brakes down when in fact they were new lol. I sold the car before having to deal with it and they were mated with brand new rotors. You can get Brembo pads for $65 bucks which is plenty good as I don't run my Type-S hard. I have no issues or noise and aren't too dusty but I have OCD about keeping my TL clean

What material would get as close to OEM pads in the aftermarket? Dust is not a concern.
Front Brembo pads are organic. Most aftermarket are metallic, semi metallic or ceramic. I love how the OEM Brembo pads are performing but paying $150-200 for pads is questionable.
BTW, those brembo pads with red shims are made in China and I vaguely remember some issue with them in stopping power. Real Brembo pads are made in Italy

I can't seem to win, I have now had 3 sets of news pads on my 08 TL-S, and they have all squeaked. After the original oem pads wore out, I tried semi-metallic, then ceramic, then ceramic again, all squeak. I am sick of this. I had my rotors turned and new pads and still have squeeking. The last new pads are brembo pads with red shims, but I was concerned if they were authenic. From the post above they might now be the real thing, I don't think they were made in Italy. I need to find out what the OEM Brembo pads are made of, and I will be willing to pay, if it takes away the noise. I am tired of it...
These are the fake brembo pads I have that squeak...
These are the real ones...

I am not sure if it is even the pads at this point causing the squeeking!

have you lubed all sliding parts on the brake pads?

have you replaced your rotors? from what i remember reading it's not advised to turn these rotors even though i'm sure most of the time it's fine. i always buy new rotors. i have absolutely no squeaks with akebono ceramic pads and stoptech rotors. i've had my TL 10 years and never have any squeaks. i do all my own brake work

Sounds like the rotors is a common denominator. Why haven't you looked into replacing them rather than just resurfacing them. You've tried 3 different pads with the same result
