As the title states, my 2005 Acura TL with an automatic transmission, is shaking at 30 mph. The tires are fine, nothing looks too bad so im not sure what to look for. Im new to the car guy scene so i cant really say what looks bad. I also dont want to spend the money to have someone look at it and then have be some really stupid like tranny fluid or something like that. All help is VERY much appreciated!

I have a few questions regarding your "shaking at 30 mph" statement:

• Is the car rolling along at a steady 30 mph and shaking?
• Does the shaking only happen when accelerating?
• Does the shaking only happen when braking?
• Does the severity of the shaking change as the speed changes?
• Does the severity of the shaking change the further the steering wheel is moved from center?

 

and how do you know the tires are fine?
