Unfirkingbelievable

Well, I just got off the phone with Acura Client Relations about the issues I'm having with my 2004 TL alarm and door ajar issues when it rains. I have seen where several people on here have had this issue. What I do not understand is why Acura has not issued some type of recall for this problem. With all of the supposed reliability stability of Honda/Acura products, I cannot understand why the TL seems to be such a piece of crap. I thought maybe it was a first year new generation thing but I'm wrong about that as years 05-08 experience the same issues and not just relegated to the alarm going off when raining issue. I am totally dispappointed in this vehicle. The representative told me that NOONE has called to complain about this alarm issue. I find that hard to believe. With the dealer wanting to charge an "arm and a leg" for diagnostics, I figured they could provide this single father some type of voucher to offset the cost of the diagnostic fee. I mean after all, I did buy this Honda/Acura product for its supposed high relaibility marks. I spent most of the weekend reading posts about issues with these cars. If you are just as fed up as me, WE need to do something about this and not just chalk it up as whatever it may be. I AM PISSED!!!

^dear pissed off,
Just pour some Cheerup on your paincakes.

if you read the forums, which you said you did, you could have bought the door sensors and installed them coming in UNDER the acura Diagnostic fee.

we have found the issues and know how to correct the issues.
stop wasting your time and frustrations at the dealership....

sincerely,
Smilez

Already bought the door sensor, smartass; issue still not fixed and just because one person seems to think there's a fix does not apply to all.

^well, thats why we're here to help you trouble shoot.

you didnt say you replaced the door sensor....

all car manufactures have their problems.
and a door sensor is MINIMAL compared to some others, ahem BWM.
They have engine failures due to the high pressure fuel pump and now recently an oil pump has been found faulty in the new M5's and M6's.
GOOD THING YOU DONT HAVE AN ENGINE FAILURE, but just a door sensor.
which is annoying but not the end of the world.

Now, if you would like to continue to trouble shoot, we can go forward.
But you need to be honest and upfront.
WHat have you changed so far!?
are your A/C drain lines clear of debris?
is your sunroof drain clear of debris?
check your fuse box to see if anything is leaking on to it.

Crabby, I have changed the rr door sensor, had the alternator, starter and battery tested and all came back in good working order. As for the AC lines and sunroof, I will check that shortly. I have run water over the entire car and rr door several times to see if the problem would duplicate and of course, it did not happen. Carfax shows a clean history report but I am sure damaging information can be kept off of a Carfax report. Thanks for your thoughts though; keep it coming and I will report nack on the AC lines and sunroof.

BTW, I have already checked the fuses inside the car and the ones under the hood and all looks well; no signs of water intrusion throughout the entire car.
