UA6 electrical problems
hello fellow acurazine members. i been reading a lot on the forums and try to search for answers here but didn't really find anything that related to my issue.
so today when i left for work in the morning i tried to unlock my TL-s with my remote no lights went on but the car was unlocked. Sat in the car and i knew something was off. the engine wouldnt turn over and there was no power. so i popped the hood and checked my battery terminals. then went back to the garage and tried to see if i can lock the car the car locked. and when i put the key back in ignition my navi turned on but i had no radio, and all the memory on the trip meter was resetted. and i drove it to work and it was completely fine.
On break i tried to see what the problem could be but the car started and drove around normally. So when i got out of work tonight the car started, it idled properly and all the lights were on, turn out of the parking lot i suddenly hear my radio in and out and my radar power on and off and on. the navi made a blip, car was still goign 40mph the dash lights lit up like you would on initial start up and then went back to normal.
So i pulled over and popped the hood and checked everything in the engine bay and it seemed okay and no burnt fuse smell or any signs of electrical problems. But i must add that this is a new battery, and the person who install my battery when it died said i should change my battery terminals this was a couple weeks ago. he said there was a slight crack in it that might cause a bad connections.
Could that be the culprit? im just worried now and don't know what to trouble shoot besides the basics and run tests on it when i get it to my mechanic. and if i replace the terminals how much would that cost in parts. since i will be doing all the labor?

Take the battery terminals and one at a time see if they can be turned without loosening the clamp. If so, replacement needed. Also, check to be certain the terminials are clean where they contact the battery posts. O would think they were cleaned if someone just replaced the battery, but you never know, and don't place any substance between the cable head and the battery post.
