Type S Vibration Issues

Hi Guys,

I was wondering what you may think the problem is? I have a 2007 TL S and I have 49k on it. I recently got the wheels rotated and balanced and the wheels aligned. However, at around 75 to 85 mph I have a shake in the steering wheel that use to not be there when the car was new. I was just wondering what you think it may be?

Could it be suspension components? If it is I need to take it to the dealer soon so the dealer can replace it under warranty, correct? My warranty is about to run out in 1k miles so ...

Thanks in advance for any information guys!

Could be a bad balancing or of the tires or your mags could be warped or your rotors in the front could be warped. Did it start right after you rotated the tires and had them rebalanced? Doubt your suspension has anything to do with it...

yes it started right after i had my rotation and balance ... i asked them to roadforce balance it, but they told me that it was not necessary.

I am getting my new wheels put on next week so hopefully that will fix everything ... but i know this is a little off topic but i was wondering

what is the difference between roadforce balancing and just regular balancing???

Thanks

hard to explain, but here is a link that explains it

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=40

when he said it was not necessary, its maybe because he did not have the machine for it

It's a bad balance job. Road force balance is 100% necessary with these cars, they are very sensitive to proper balancing.

Take it back to the shop and make them do the proper balancing, which they should have done in the first place.

I'd say get the wheels re-balanced. I hope it isn't anything suspension related. It shouldn't be, as you didn't have this problem before.
