Hi i bought a type s rear lip and both straps on each side were not there. Is there anyway to fix this? Does the hardware kit come with it? Thanks

That's odd that they weren't there. Im assuming your talking about the plastic click fasteners? I would just ask whoever or wherever you got it from? if you got it used maybe you can figure out a way to jb weld some wide zip ties on or use extra double sided tape/ if new, ask to exchange for another. I have heard of it being installed w/o using them(some people don't want to drill into their bumpers)

If it were me I would try to fabricate something to put in place of those fasteners. You can try the 3m double tape, but youll prob have gaps, I remember tightening mine quite a bit to get it flush.

Hmm it looks like as if those fasteners were glued to the lip. Do you know if i can buy those fasteners? I looked everywhere doesnt seem like you can get them, if it comes down to it i will probably have to use the 3m tape but i want it to be flush

trying to contact Ack05 to see if he can hook you up with that zip. All of the mounting hardware should come with every kit and look like someone screwed up here.

If you're talking about the piece that's like a zip tie, there's only two of them on the whole rear lip. One on either side below the quarter panels (just whine the wheel wells)

You could just jbweld or epoxy a regular zip tie there if its cut or missing

You bought it used. So the person before had it on their bumper and they cut the zip tie fasteners to release it off of their bumper. You just need to fabricate some new ones on it. Mind if I ask how much you paid for it?

Correct^

If you cut a zip tie and epoxy or jb weld it there, then you can use the other end of the zip tie (lock) with a washer or something to tighten it. Just find those bigger zip ties that are like 1/4 or 3/16 inch wide.

Yes the person took them off i didnt notice till i was going to install it, i thought the hardware kit would bring it. Other than that the lip is in perfect condition. I got it for 120. And yeah it looks like i have to use the zip tie method.

Yea that sounds like it will work, one question will the jb weld be strong enough to hold the zip tie? And also i would still need to buy the hardware kit correct?

Very nice! Not a bad price at all. Just as others have said, make sure you use bigger zip ties to make sure they will hold good and strong
