up shifting, unlike the video he posted my rpms never slowed down when they dropped

lol this is hilariously inconsistent with no one at fault in particular. So 07-08 TL-S 6MTs dont have this feature..appears 05-06 do. my 04 doesn't, but the original post way back on '03 stating that it does..

if i can find a place to record video i will. I just dont want to get caught with my phone in my hand.

I think some people are talking about different things. Some cars seem to have rev-hang issues when up-shifting. Some don't.

The thing I was talking about was the ECU purposely holding rpm for you when down shifting (after you blip the throttle yourself).

oh I've never noticed rev-matching on downshifts... I don't think I have ever downshifted with it above 3k rpm. I don't know.



So apparently:

04-06 has it and 07-08 does not.

i find it hard to believe acura went backwards on the rev matching technology during the mid cycle update...

My 6MT type-s does not have rev matching.

Well the rev-matching was to help drivers. I'm not at all surprised if a type-s doesn't have it. Considering it was a "performance" model, and the only TL to have a manual in 07-08 since it was dropped for the base.

This is exactly what I was looking for!! I did not know it was called rev hang but I have and 06 and was unsure if anyone was experienceing the same trouble of abnormally slow up shifts.
